Bishop Michael Hartwell, originally from Montcalm WV, has been the Senior Pastor of the Verdunville Church of God since October 8th, 1990. Pastor Hartwell is committed to leading ministry in many aspects of life, both at home and abroad. Pastor Hartwell, along with his wife Darlene, have a desire to see spiritual  strongholds broken over the areas in which they minister.


Pastor Hartwell is an avid supporter of World Missions and has traveled to El Salvador, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico with Mie Pan Ministries. He also frequently was involved in week long crusades from the smallest of towns to the Largest of cities. As the need has shifted, so has his focus turned to local ministry.

Pastor Hartwell and Darlene actively serve in every area of ministry at the Verdunville Church of God. With 4 children and 7 grandchildren between them, they live under the motto of God, Family, And Church. They both understand the importance family plays in their ministry.
