Bishop Michael Hartwell, originally from Montcalm WV, has been the Senior Pastor of the Verdunville Church of God for 35 years. Pastor Hartwell has served Logan County in benevolence ministry for over 20 years and has been Director of the Appalachian and First American Dream Centers for almost 20 years. Pastor Hartwell, along with his wife Darlene, have a desire to see financial strongholds broken over the areas in which they minister.
Pastor Hartwell is an avid supporter of World Missions and travels several time a year to El Salvador with Mie Pan Ministries. He is frequently involved in week long crusades from the smallest of towns to the Largest of cities.
Pastor Hartwell and Darlene actively serve in every area of ministry at the Verdunville Church of God. With 4 children and 7 grandchildren between them, they live under the motto of God, Family, And Church. They both understand the importance family plays in their ministry.
